Celebrating a heritage of 162 years, Ghee Hiang appointed Executive Chef Jeffrey Tan as Brand Ambassador in Australia in a MOU signing ceremony in the Consulate of Malaysia. Witnessing this milestone was Mr Westmoreland the Consul General of Malaysia to Melbourne.

Ghee Hiang is a famous household brand for its 100% pure roasted sesame oil and hand made traditional Chinese pastries originated from Fujian province in China. The brand was brought over by a pastries chef in 1856 when migrating to Malaysia (Malaya then). Chef Jeffrey is a well known name in Melbourne associated with his Cooking for Charity movement that has raised more that AUD4,000,000 over the years.

义香 (Ghee Hiang) 是家喻户晓的老字号品牌,其 100% 纯正麻油和手工制作的中式传统糕点起源于中国福建省。而当时是由一名糕点师于 1856 年移居马来西亚(旧称马来亚)时,将这项工艺带过来流传至今。至于 Jeffery Tan 主厨则是墨尔本著名厨艺大师,他为慈善事业所筹募的公益资金高达近 400 万澳元。

IWC CELEBRATES 150TH 沙夫豪森万国表欢庆150岁生日

IWC Schaffhausen celebrated its 150th birthday and the launch of its Jubilee collection with a gala evening at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) watch fair in Geneva. It comprises a total of 27 limited-edition models from the Portugieser, Portofino, Pilot’s Watch and Da Vinci families.  Around 800 guests participated in the event, including IWC brand ambassadors and global stars such as actors Cate Blanchett, Bradley Cooper and James Marsden, as well as sports personalities Valtteri Bottas and David Coulthard.

The American watchmaking pioneer Florentine Ariosto Jones founded the International Watch Company in Schaffhausen in 1868 with the objective of combining skilled Swiss craftsmanship with American manufacturing technology to create the best pocket watches of his time. The jubilee collection revisits icons from the history of IWC and merges them through a timeless design code to form a single striking collection. Aston Martin is proud to present Lagonda Vision Concept – marking the beginning of a new range of state of the art, emission-free luxury vehicles. Production is planned to start in 2021.

Lagonda strives to be the world’s first zero emission luxury brand. It will confound traditional thinking and take advantage of the latest advances in electrification and autonomous driving technologies, which amount to the biggest revolution in land-bound transportation since the invention of the car.

Aston Martin President and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Andy Palmer believes that people associate luxury in their cars with a certain traditional and even old-fashioned approach because, to date, that is all that has been available to them. According to him, “Lagonda exists to challenge that thinking and prove that being modern and luxurious are not mutually exclusive concepts.”

The Lagonda Vision Concept also forecasts a world with a high level of autonomy. Its design is equivalent with level four autonomous driving, meaning the car is capable of driving itself in all routine circumstances and on all recognizable roads. As a result, the steering wheel can not only move from left to right hand drive according to need, in autonomous mode, it can also retract entirely allowing front seat passengers to rotate through 180 degrees to engage in face to face conversation with those in the back. In the meantime, the car will not only have 360-degree awareness of the world around it, but also fully connected to it.
