The new Cartier boutique’s recent opening in Roppongi Hills will evolve along with times, people, and society while staying true to the unchanging essence of the maison. Following one in Cannes, France, this is the second boutique that comes with a new format where furniture can easily and freely be rearranged. The limited-time gallery “TANK 100” – celebrating the TANK watch’s 100th anniversary – will be held in conjunction with its grand opening in line with its concept to present the space sometimes as a gallery, sometimes as a conceptual boutique. The opening saw the performance of Berlin-based electronic DJ Victor Tricard. Artist Shingo Katori has produced two original works of art inspired by Cartier’s legendary TANK watch, which is now being exhibited at “TANK 100”. While one will be displayed as a key visual at the gallery, the other, a luminous object conveying an image of TANK’s century-long history titled “TANKOTHEQUE” is displayed in the main room. The store interior is produced by Studios Parisien.

BVLGARI celebrated the homecoming of the two stolen masterpieces of Vincent van Gogh at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam almost fifteen years after their theft from Naples, Italy. Thanks to the invaluable efforts and contribution of the Italian Guardia di Finanza and other competent authorities, the Embassy of Italy in The Netherlands was aware that major brands of ‘Made in Italy’ could contribute to the Museum’s efforts to restore the two masterpieces.
A special treat for BVLGARI invitees, the paintings “View of the Sea at Scheveningen” and “Congregation leaving the Reformed Church in Nuenen” were displayed at the Van Gogh Museum for one night only. BVLGARI’s most iconic and divine collections were inspired by Serpenti’s motif found in ancient Rome. The Diva collection, inspired by the Caracalla thermal baths’ mosaic floors, offers the perfect example of how BVLGARI is, and has always been, in tune with the world of arts.
‘‘The whispering forest of memories’ combined couture, theatre and floristry to simulate a surreal forest experience. The fully immersive installation created a liminal world for guests to escape. The collaboration between Linda Britten (couture designer), Pam Davison (photographer), Cameron Menzies (creative director), Tim Britten-Finschi (conceptual designer) and Victoria Whitelaw (florist) aimed to challenge the notion of interactive installations. Guests included Chairman of Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival Ms Laura Anderson, all of whom enjoyed beverages from Rockwell Management partners Perrier Water, Vodka O, Tokar Estate wines and T2.
